South Asian Therapist, Indian Therapist, intergenerational trauma

Mira D'Souza, MA, LPC Associate

Hi, I'm Mira. I am so happy you are here!

Welcome

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Rebecca Lincoln. Being human is hard. Life can bring on so many challenges that are difficult to work through without support. I believe that no matter what our past has given us or what our future holds, we are capable of working through our life challenges. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients embrace their authentic self and discover new paths of healing and growth.

Approach

I take a person-centered approach to therapy where I place a strong importance on the client-therapist relationship. I want my clients to feel seen and understood. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment for those in session through integrative and holistic techniques. I utilize practices that are based on principles of attachment, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I am passionate about inclusion, diversity and de-stigmatizing mental health in minority communities. I take on a social justice lens to help my clients feel empowered in their true authentic self.

  • Relationship Issues

  • People Pleasing

  • Healthy Boundaries
